Many realtors believe that hiring a premium photographer will guarantee high-quality photos that can help them sell properties more effectively. However, the reality is that a bad photographer can employ all the "premium" techniques and still deliver poor results.
The most critical skills to look for in a photographer are a keen eye for composition and a solid understanding of lighting. All shooting techniques and editing processes should be adjusted based on the available light at the location and the necessary composition.
This is why you should steer clear of photo mills for your listings or any type of photography. Photographers at these mills are often underpaid, which can result in subpar work. If you have an empty listing with no furniture, that can sometimes work in your favor, as there’s less need to consider staging the space. However, for high-end properties, finding a photographer who aligns with your style is essential.
Once you have found the right match, make sure to maintain that relationship!
